Get yourself down to the Royal Festival Hall in London on Friday 9th March to celebrate International Women’s Day with a unique night of live music and inspirational good times.
Part of the Southbank Centre’s WOW (Women of the World) festival, together we will be showcasing the power of British female recording artists and stepping up the call for equality between men and women at the same time.
Annie Lennox, who brought EQUALS together in 2011, explains:
“I’m proud to be curating an evening of British female artists in celebration of InternationalWomen’s Day. EQUALS Live will shine a spotlight on an incredible new generation of women in music who are raising their voices in solidarity with women across the globe. International Women’s Day is the perfect time to reignite debate about what a more equal world would look like with a new generation and to finish the work of the women and men who paved the way before us.”
The female artists will be joined on stage by special guest speakers, to talk about the inequalities that women and girls deal with every day around the world, and inspire people to get involved in making the world a more equal place.
We’re REALLY EXCITED to bring EQUALS Live back for 2012, after storming sets from Paloma Faith, VV Brown, Kate Nash and Annie Lennox at last year’s event.
Tickets are from £17.50 (for a limited number of student and other concessions) or from £35 full price. Get yours from the Southbank Centre website now.

I am an American and I fully support this cause. I was shocked to find out the troubles of women in a country as great as England. I just want you to know I whole heartedly support you guys and wish you a great celebration. I only wish that I could join you. I will in spirit though!
